HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
It is a French variety imported into Friuli, where it has found its second land of choice, so much so that it can be considered one of the cornerstones of Friuli’s viticulture. Due to the particularity of character and refinement, induced by the nature of the terrain and climate, Merlot which is cultivated in Friuli is unique in its kind and stands out clearly from homonyms products of mass viticulture in other regions. The vegetation is vigorous, the long vegetative period, the optimal fertility and the products, excellent in all respects and in every place for their right alcoholicity, fullness, led to the maximum diffusion of the vine.

WINE
We harvest the grapes at full phenolic ripening. After a short pre-fermentation maceration on the skins, we eliminate most of the grape seeds before alcoholic fermentation. The result is a wine with a moderate astringency in the mouth, a great elegance and drinkability, it has a full and fragrant bouquet with a soft scent of rose, it has a pleasant, dry taste, full-bodied, harmonious, sapid, with light herbaceous flavor.

FOOD MATCHING
It is recommended with red meats, roasts, poultry and with semi-mature cheeses.

Ribolla Gialla

Historic Collio wine, dry and citrine, of medium alcohol content. Floral aromas of plants such as acacia, birch and in its freshness, the limoncella.

Pinot Grigio

Deliciuous and filiform, very intense in the floral scents, ripe and crunchy fruit, with a fresh and tense mouth.

Pinot Bianco

With a delicate and incisive taste, ample and well-balanced on the palate, it spreads a warm and marly touch to those who taste it. Well balanced, pleasant to drink in its white floral and peach note.

Opera Prima

Its composition is a result of the blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Ribolla gialla. This blend best expresses the main characteristics of each grape: power, elegance and freshness.

Sauvignon

It finds its highest expression in these hills, presenting an explosion of characteristic and refined aromas, a prelude to a sensation that also manifests itself to the palate.

Friulano

Produced from Tocai grapes, it is a fine wine, delicate on the palate and with an intense fragrant bouquet reminiscent of wild flowers. It is a banner of Friulian enology.
