Its origins are not clear: according to some scholars it has Middle Eastern “roots”, according to others it comes from a spontaneous crossing from a pre-domesticated vine and a vine coming from Illyria.
It is however original and widespread from Burgundy, its name derives from Chardonnay, the country in the region.
Long confused with Pinot Bianco, genetic research has shown that it is a vine of different origins by officially decreeing its current name.
From Chardonnay grapes we produce a still wine, aged in steel, with a balanced alcohol content and medium to high acidity. Fine, elegant, noble, slim body. The color of the wine is straw yellow, not particularly deep. The scent, reminiscent of the Golden apple, is rather characteristic, delicate and fruity. Tempting, discreet and very fine taste, with memory of green fruit, honey, acacia.
From the best grapes we select the cuvee for aging in barrique, necessary for the creation of our wine reserves.
Perfect as an aperitif, suitable for appetizers and fish dishes. Excellent with pasta, soups and risotto with herbs.
Serving temperature 10 ° – 12 ° C.
